FAAMN

The American Association for Men in Nursing's
Fellow of the American Association for Men in Nursing

The FAAMN program recognizes exceptional commitment and sustained contributions to men’s health and the nursing profession.

Qualified candidates are invited to join the list of leaders shaping the future through excellence in education, scholarship, advocacy, and clinical practice. Applications are accepted on an annual basis.

The Fellow of the American Association for Men in Nursing program offers two distinct pathways for recognition, reflecting our commitment to inter-professional collaboration in the advancement of men’s health and the nursing profession.

Distinguished Fellow (FAAMN): The designation of Distinguished Fellow represents the pinnacle of leadership within men in nursing or men's health.  This level honors senior leaders who have established a significant, long-standing, and transformational legacy. Inductees in this tier have made profound and impactful contributions to AAMN, men in nursing, and men's health over a sustained period.

Fellow (FAAMN): The designation of Fellow is bestowed upon nursing professionals who have demonstrated exceptional, sustained contributions through clinical practice, education, scholarship, and advocacy.

Parallel to this, the Honorary Fellow, FAAMN(H), status recognizes distinguished interprofessional partners and leaders from diverse disciplines who have significantly impacted the mission of the AAMN and the American Men’s Health in Nursing Alliance (AMHNA).

Together, these levels of fellowship foster a robust cadre of experts dedicated to diversifying the workforce, mentoring the next generation of leaders, and improving health outcomes for men globally.

The first FAAMN honorees will be recognized at the 2026 AAMN Annual Conference, Oct. 15-17 in Las Vegas.

After that event, information on how to become a 2027 inductee will be made available on this page.
