AAMN's 2024 Election Results
The Results are in!
A record 18 candidates were vying for a total of seven positions in this year's AAMN board of directors election. When the voting ending May 31, current board members claimed six of the seven open positions.
HERE'S A RECAP OF THE RESULTS
VICE PRESIDENT:
Curry Bordelon, DNP, MBA, CRNP
Bordelon was re-elected to a second term as vice president. He currently serves as dean for the Graduate Clinical Education-DNP Program at the University of Alabama-Birmingham
TREASURER:
Jose Alejandro-White, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, MBA, FACHE, FAAN
White ran unopposed for the position. He is currently an at-large member of the AAMN board and also serves as a nurse scientist for the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center
AT-LARGE BOARD:
M. Anderson Bottomy, MSN, BA, RN, CCRN, CEN, SCRN, NI-BC
Bottomy was the only non-incumbent to earn a victory in this year's election. He currently serves as an RN in the neurology/neurosurgery ICU of Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Aaron Franklin, DNP, RN, NEA-BC
Franklin, who co-chairs AAMN's Communications Committee, serves as the senior program manager of human resources for Rush University System for Health.
Julian Gallegos, PhD, MBA, FNP-BC, CNL, CMHE, FAUNA
The chair of AAMN's newly created Research Committee is also a clinical associate professor and interim assistant head of graduate programs at Purdue University's West Lafayette campus.
Ian Saludares, MPA, BSN, RN, NEA-BC, CPXP
Saludares is currently concluding his term as AAMN's treasurer. He is a nursing administrator at The Mount Sinai Hospital.
Rebecca Smith, RN, BSN
Smith is currently the chair of AAMN's Membership Committee. She is a registered nurse at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center.
All of the individuals who are elected will serve two-year terms that begin following AAMN's 49th annual conference, Oct. 17-19 in St. Louis.
